Texas Alcohol Permit Used for Delivery Businesses and Apps

The range of items provided by home deliveries is truly staggering, and it’s growing all the time. As many individuals remain in their houses for various reasons, they want to take advantage of the convenience of home delivery.

If you are looking to add alcohol delivery to your business or update your app with that service, this article from our team at Texas Alcohol Consulting will be helpful to you. We will look at obtaining a Texas alcohol permit that allows for delivery.

The documentation that covers home delivery of alcohol is known as the Consumer Delivery (CD) Permit. It is mainly intended for third-party companies that take products directly to the consumer’s door from businesses that are already licensed under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC). These companies include bars, restaurants, and liquor stores.

To obtain a Texas alcohol permit, companies must fill out the required paperwork and pay the applicable fees. Companies that wish to provide alcohol to residential customers must have their delivery staff take the Texas Responsible Alcohol Delivery course. These employees must also be at least 21 years old.
